(The Post News)- Germany support Israel against South Africa in it genocide case. Meanwhile, Namibian President Hage Geingos says Germany has no moral status to stand in front of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). In 2021, Germany has admitted to have committed Genocide in Nambia in the earl 1900s.
Namibia joins other countries as a third-party intervenor to support South Africa in the ICJ for its “genocidal” case against Israel. The support by Namibia could have been mostly prompted by Germany’s announcement that it would intervene in the case as a third party to the case in support of Israel and reject South Africa’s case explicitly.
“Germany has chosen to defend in the ICJ the genocidal and gruesome acts of the Israeli government against innocent civilians in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian Territories”, said Geingos.
Hamas also urges Germany to reconsider its decision. Hamas leader Izzat al-Rashq, “we call on Germany to stop all forms of support for the Zionist crimes and to reject and criminalize the genocide being committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
South Africa says more than 50 countries have expressed support for its case against Israel in the ICJ. While this could be the case, allies of Israel in NATO also throw their support to Israel, including the United States. However, it is not surprising that the US is among the countries it has been accused time and again of supporting Israel militarily and financially for funding the war, allegations which it has not denied.
NATO countries support this war whole heatedly, Uk is calling South African’s case unjustified and Germany it said it reject the case.
