(The Post News)- The Houthi rebels continue to attack ships- vessels in the red sea. They say, this is motivated by American’s support to Israel. The Houthis stated that they will destroy any cargo belonging to US and Britain in the Red sea. There is a fear that Israel war on Gaza may further escalate in the region.
Western Response in connection with the Houthi
On Sunday the US and British navy reported to have shot down the anti- cruise missile fired by Ansar Allah in Yemen, the have since attacked about 26 ship- vessels in the red sea. The Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree says, “all American and British ships and war- ships involved in the aggression against our country are considered hostile target”.
Houthi Justification: U.S. and U.K. Support for Israel
The attacks escalated when US and UK launched the military response to attack on ships last week. The US warned that they will bear the responsibility of the consequences should they continue to threaten live. The US Navy reported to have seized weapons in the coast of Somalia last week supplied by Iran to Ansar Allah, but Iran has denied any links.
