South Africa- The Mayor of Collins Chabane Local Municipality, Shadrack Maluleke, visited Tiyani and Radzambo Secondary Schools as part of the Municipality Back to School Campaign programme, which aims to encourage and motivate learners as they commence their academic year.
In his official visit to Tiyani and Radzambo, Mayor Maluleke welcomed back all the officials, teachers, and learners to a new academic year. “ We welcome you back and best wishes for the new year, which comes with its challenges and requires all of us to work harder and smarter to develop and maintain excellence in all our schools,” said Mayor Maluleke.
Back-to-school camping
Due to other government commitments that required the attention of the Mayor in the Vhembe district, executive member Manganye continued on behalf of the Mayor and proceeded with the remaining schools.
On Monday morning, the Mayor took over and proceeded with the campaign, which he met with the officials at Xingwzedzi High School, where he had a briefing session with the school officials.

He later also addressed learners as part of monitoring readiness for schools reopening and providing support to schools as they kick-start the 2024 academic year before proceeding to other schools.
