(The Post News) – Limpopo police are currently investigating a case of murder after a 50-year-old Man was shot and killed at his residence in Lunungwi village in Thohoyandou. This incident occurred on Saturday, March 23rd.

According to a statement by the South African Police Service (SAPS), the victim was reportedly attacked while leaving his home. Unknown gunmen fired at him as he was driving his silver Toyota Tazz out of his residence, resulting in his death. The police were informed of the incident and arrived at the scene, where they discovered the victim inside the vehicle with several gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services also responded but unfortunately, the male victim was pronounced dead. Currently, his identity is being withheld and will be announced as the investigation progresses.
Community members are still in shock due to this horrible incident, as the police haven’t been able to catch the perpetrators who committed these horrible incidents. Although the identity of the deceased has not been revealed yet to the public, the family and friends are also still in shock and they’ll need help from social workers to overcome this tragedy.
Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, described the incident calling it “brutal and senseless.” The motive at this stage is still unknown, Ledwaba confirmed.
The investigation is still underway to catch the perpetrator. The Police are urging anyone with information that can assist in finding the perpetrator to come forward. The remainder of the deceased hasn’t been released to his family for the last time.
The Limpopo police are searching for suspects responsible for the brutal murder of an unknown man. The burnt body was lying on the street when it was discovered by a passer-by, police indicated. The victim was declared to be deceased on the scene, while police said the burnt body was found naked with the victim’s legs tied together. The incident indicates that the Police need to catch these murderers before more victims are added to the list of deceased.
