SAPS divulge details into the death of Markus Jooste’s body

(The Post News) – The death of 63-year-old Markus Jooste was confirmed by the police last month following his alleged suicide, just a day after the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) imposed an R475 million administrative fine on him for irregularities at Steinhoff as a Chief Executive Officer. Questions about his death keep on popping about the mysterious death of the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The police have refused to give information about the so-called investigation into the death of the dodgiest business person, Markus Jooste who has cost pensioners their hard-earned funds.

Jooste had cost South Africa’s Public Investment Corporation approximately R200 million in investments. Following his fraudulent activities known as the “Steinhoff Heist”.

So far police have not come forth to provide information ascertaining details of his death. The case is of public interest and there are so many unanswered questions about his mysterious death. There is no solicited information from the police on the whereabouts of Jooste’s body. Sunday Independent has asked for information about the body but police refuse to divulge details.

“Issues concerning pathologists, hospitals, and mortuaries were best addressed by the Department of Health,” answered the Western Cape police spokesperson, Colonel Andre Traut, to Sunday Independent.

He also denied giving information to the scene where Jooste allegedly took his life. Questions about what Jooste was wearing at the time of his death were also not responded to by the police.

Traut furthered “the number of police officers responding to an emergency on the other hand in indeed an SAPS related matter… Due to operational reasons, deployment figures are not released to the media. In conclusion, kindly be advised that the death inquest case docket with regards to Markus Jooste is still under investigation and there are no new developments to report at this stage.”

It does not make sense to the citizens of South Africa for police to fail to give even the smallest detail about the incident of a high-profile case. There were no updates on his funeral arrangements. Socialists even showed no confidence in police linking his death with that of Bosasa, Gavin Watson.

Watson also died mysteriously in a car accident early August 26th, 2019. When the car he was driving hit a pillar on an approaching road to OR Tambo International Airport his body’s whereabouts are still unknown.

Likely to match with Markus Jooste’s body, nobody saw his body after he died and there is not much detail leading to his death to be true. Jooste could be very much alive too. Just like Thabo Bester when he was declared dead while roaming the streets of Sandton.
