(The Post News) – Innocentia “Inno” Morolong, a reality TV star and social media influencer, is getting ready for a highly anticipated boxing match against Ashleigh Ogle. Ogle happens to be the ex-girlfriend of South African rapper DA LES. The match is set to take place on April 21st at the inaugural Mandela African Boxing Cup. Despite facing some challenges, such as the suspension of her Instagram account, and undisclosed personal struggles that she believes may be a spiritual attack, Morolong is determined to prepare well for the upcoming bout.
The Mandela African Boxing Cup is marked to be an event of note, with the son of President Cyril Ramaphosa, Tumelo Ramaphosa, being the leader of this organization. The International Convention Centre in Durban is serene enough to host eager fans and sports enthusiasts for the highly anticipated event. This event is part of a partnership between the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the International Boxing Association.
Morolong shared her training routine, revealing that she dedicates herself to intense sessions twice a day. Reflecting on recent challenges, she confided, “I can’t help but feel like everything happening is some sort of spiritual attack.” Despite these obstacles, Morolong emphasized her unshakable determination for the upcoming event, saying, “I’m completely prepared. I aim to showcase not only my elegance and style but also my inner strength and resilience. Boxing resonates with me because I’ve always been a fighter, not in the sense of physical confrontation, but as a ‘Mbokodo’ – a strong, unyielding woman.”
Ogle has revealed that she has had a long-standing relationship with boxing, which began in 2016 but was abruptly halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, she found inspiration to get back in the ring while preparing for her upcoming match. Ogle shared that her daughter, who is now almost 18 years old, had witnessed some of the abuse she suffered from her ex-partner. Despite this, she is determined to pursue her passion for boxing.
In separate interviews with City Press, both Ogle and her opponent stated that they were not intimidated by each other.
