(The Post News) – news of soul music DJ and slain South African R&B, Peter Mashata Mabuse’s passing hit hard for many in our community. Known for his charm and talent, Mabuse’s sudden departure, just after his captivating show at Epozini Lounge, has left us all feeling stunned and shaken.
After delivering a captivating set at Soshanguve’s Epozini Lounge in block G, Peter Mashata Mabuse breathed his last, succumbing to unforeseen circumstances despite immediate medical attention. Investigations into his passing have unveiled unsettling truths, hinting at a more sinister backdrop to his tragic end.
Gauteng Premier Andrek Panyaza Lesufi, in a heartfelt gesture, paid a visit to Mabuse’s grieving family on April 22, extending heartfelt condolences and support. Premier Lesufi shed light on the pervasive issue of contract killings in the area during an emotional interview, emphasizing the urgency of dismantling both the perpetrators and the orchestrators behind such heinous acts. He solemnly said, “The problem we have here is hired assassins that are hired by other people to kill other people,” underscoring the imperative to dismantle the entire network responsible for such atrocities.
The passing of Mabuse has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him, particularly his 64-year-old mother, who fondly referred to him as her “smile keeper.” In a poignant message to the public, she likened her son’s demise to the loss of a vital limb, expressing her profound grief and urging action alongside expressions of sympathy. “Let it not just be interviews, let it be that justice is being served,” she said, echoing the sentiments of a community mourning the loss of one of its brightest stars.
In Soshanguve, Mabuse holds a special place in our hearts as not just a talented entertainer but also as a dear member of our community. His contagious happiness and endless enthusiasm touched everyone he met, leaving behind memories of a person whose warmth and kindness lit up every room.
