Some voters described the 2024 elections as similar to 1994,1994, when South Africans had their first democratic votes.
The IEC has so far recorded over a million votes counted; this is still the early stage of counting votes.
KwaZulu-Natal has always been the point of difference when it when it comes to votes because of the likes of its political parties,such as giant parties such as theas giant parties such as the giant parties such as the IFP, giant parties such as the IFP, ANC,ANC, and others.
Under the newly established party Mkhonto we Sizwe,Sizwe, under the leadership of former president Jacob Zuma, the table changed with MK making its debut, leaking up the votes, ranking number 1 with 42.49%,, followed by the ANC with 20.85%, and the IFP ranked number three with 17.45%, with the result still being counted.
The Eastern- Cape Province has recorded over 60.64% by the ANC followed by the DA with 121,353. With support of 19.21%, the EFF recorded 38,437 votes and support of 8.85%; these are the top 3 leading parties in the Eastern- Cape.
The Provincial Legislature of Gauteng is about 8.47% complete, which is about 237 of the 2,797 voting districts.
The leading party by voting station, ANC district recorded 35.47%, followed by the DA with 60,887 support at 29.36%.
The EFF recorded 50,397, with support of 11.66%.
Political analyst Lukhona Mnguni mentioned that during the course of political rallies, rather than a manifesto, he has done research at KwaZulu-Natal.
The research highlighted that the ANC won’t have an easy run for their votes because of the newly formed Party MK, mostly due to the influence of former President Zuma.
At this point, the recorded votes are about 13.45%, close to 14%, as this is a highly contested election. According to predictions, the full results are expected by Sunday.
The counting of the votes is still in progress; with almost 14% of the votes counted, the votes can be subject to change after a couple of hours, so this still depends on the level of accuracy after a high percentage of the votes are counted.
The National Assembly is about 13.99 complete about 3 259 of 23 293 voting District completed.
The top three leading parties by voting district had ANC support of 42.58%. The DA received support of 25.82%, with the with the EFF wrapping it up with 8.47%.
