(The Post News)- Creative Mining and Engineering Services is presenting it’s first ever tournament competition worth R60,000 for Atok cluster rural areas since its establishment in 2014.
The top 32 competition is for three villages (Baroka ba Ga Selepe, Baroka ba Ga Nkwana, and Bakoni ba Ga Manotwana).
The competition begun on June 1 and should conclude on the June 9, Where a final is set to take place at Atokia Sports Ground.
These villages have many clubs but the company only selected 32 teams. The teams were randomly chosen to take part of the tournament.
The 32 teams were separated into two streams accommodating 16 teams per ground. Stream A matches taking place at Dinoko Pirates Sports Ground, Ga Selepe, and Stream B at Movers Sports Ground, Bogalatladi.
“We have made two streams taking place at Ga Selepe which is stream A. Stream B competing at Bogalatladi,” said Creative Mining Tournament Coordinator, Sello Mpho on a post-match interview with Rural Sports Magazine.
He further explained that they saw a need for the competition in acknowledgment of rural talent.
Their aim is to choose players and a technical team that would form Creative Mining Football Club which they wish to polish until it competes with proficient football leagues within the country.
Clubs that are competing in stream A are Van Dyk, Kings, Manong, Dinoko Pirates, All Stars, Maswiakgomo, Big 17, Royal, Ajax, Selepe Sundowns, Black Pool, Juventus, Mosotse United, Mosotse Rangers, Marulaneng, and Sejadipudi.
Stream B clubs consists of Makgaung, Tipeng, JC Rovers, Mashikwe, Sefateng, Impala, Shubushung, Bogalatladi Movers, Dithokong Mashikwe Young Boys, Mphotheleng, Suupi, Rachidi Fast 11, Maruping, Fiato, and Mabulela.
The visibility of Sekhukhune United Motswadibe branch proves that the competition is something big for the three rural areas and the football talent in the areas.
“We want to develop these rural talent but their talent lacks techniques. But we’re here to select and go polish,” stated Katson Komane, Sekhukhune United Supporters Coordinator for Motswadibe branch.
Football talent is set to be developed in these rural areas moreover even small businesses, taxis, and spectators will benefit from the initiative. The tournament is currently in top 16.
It is a good initiative and members from the community will benefit business wise.
I so wish it can be on a monthly basis or start a local league that will take this young men away from early substance abuse.
