Juventus FC clinched the top-four victory by beating Mabulela in a penalty shootout after drawing 1-1 on the pitch.
(The Post News)- Earlier this month, Creative Mining and Engineering Services hosted a top 32 tournament aimed at developing rural football, with a prize of R60,000.
Several clubs from local villages benefited, including Baroka ba Ga Selepe, Baroka ba Ga Nkwana, and Ditlou tsa Ga Manotwana.
This past Saturday, June 22, witnessed a top-four showdown featuring the final four teams from the top 32 tournament.
Competing for a prize of R30,000, the matches were broadcast on Thobela FM and its social media platforms.
The event took place at Movers Ground in Bogalatladi, Atok.
As reported earlier on the top 32 Creative Mining Tournament Coordinators, Sello Mpho shared, “The aim is to choose players and a technical team that would form a Creative Mining Football Club, which they wish to polish until it competes with proficient football leagues within the country.”
The top 4 were named the finals of the finals, whereby the teams that went to the final at their streams met. The teams that participated were Juventus FC, Mosotsi Rangers FC, Suupi FC, and Mabulela Happy Stars FC.
“This is the beginning of many to come. As Creative Mining and Engineering Services, we aim to bring more lucrative tournaments with the help of ARM Bokoni (African Rainbow Minerals),” stated Creative Mining Executive Manager Thabo Selepe.
The first game started with Suupi and Juventus, then the second was Mabulela Happy Stars and Mosotsi Rangers.
Juventus beat Suupi 2ā0, while Mabulela stamped on Mosotsi 4ā2. Both Juventus and Mabulela made it to the final.

Juventus striker Relebogile Mothipi, known as “Sniper,” stole the show by scoring in every match and even stepping in as a goalkeeper to save two penalties.
A few professional football clubs were represented, including Sekhukhune United FC and Baroka FC.
In a post-match interview on Thobela FM, Baroka Chairman Dan “Dance” Malesela promised to give Sniper an opportunity to play for Baroka FC.
“I am glad to have scored the opportunity. At this moment, I accept everything, and it’s promising because Baroka FC has shown interest in me,” said Sniper.
It was the first time Thobela FM aired a full tournament with this top 4, as it’s a celebration of 64 years of service.
Creative mining tournaments have marked the history of rural football development.
The community of Baroka ba Ga Selepe is looking forward to Sarito Mokgotho’s top 8 tournament. Which will play at the end of the month, June 29ā30, at Lefakgomo Sports Ground, Ga Selepe.
