(The Post News)- The famous actor Bill Cobbs died at his house in the Inland Empire region east of Los Angeles. The actor left this part of the world on June 25, aged 90.
Bill Cobbs is well known for his contribution to the acting industry, having acted in films such as The Hudsucker Proxy and The Bodyguard.
Thomas G. Cobbs wrote, “We regret to inform you of Bill Cobb’s demise,”
“Bill died away quietly at home in California on Tuesday, June 25. Surrounded by valued loved ones, Bill joyfully celebrated his 90th birthday recently. He is a beloved partner, big brother, uncle, godfather, and friend. Knowing that Bill has achieved serenity and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father gives us comfort as a family. We would appreciate your prayers and support during this time.’’
According to his brother Jones Bill, the actor was not just a remarkable performer but also a wonderful person. He was incredibly giving, considerate, and kind to others.
Cobbs had a variety of jobs before turning to acting, including eight years as a radar technician in the US Air Force. I
In addition, he was a car repairman and a salesman for office supplies. Making his acting debut, Bill Cobbs had a somewhat late start to his acting career.
In the 1970s, he relocated to New York City and began acting in local theatre plays.
In 1974, he played a noteworthy role in the film The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. This was his breakthrough performance.

Cobbs has starred in a few motion pictures, including Trading Places(1983), The Color of Money (1986), Demolition Man (1993), Night at the Museum, (2006)
Bill Cobbs has had a successful television career as well as in film. He has made numerous appearances on popular TV shows, including The Sopranos, The West Wing, Sesame Street, and Good Times.
His versatility as an actor has allowed him to be a prominent figure in both mediums.
Cobbs has over 50 years of acting experience in Hollywood and was also featured in the 2013 Oz the Great, with approximately 200 movies and TV shows to his name.
Because of his hard work and determination in this industry, especially his good performance on the Daytime programme, he was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award on the Kids Show by the name of Dino Dana.
