(The Post News)- Manchester City’s superstar goalkeeper Ederson Santa de Moraes is reportedly granted the green light to be in talks with other clubs.
The goalkeeper is reportedly likely to wish to head for the Saudi Arabian Professional Football League, although no specific clubs have been named as showing interest yet.
TalkSPORT reported that the Citizens brace themselves for a bid from the Saudi Pro League. The side is reportedly seeking to bring the 30-year-old shot-stopper.
The goalkeeper is left with two years at the club. Although the club is willing to retain him, it also grants him the freedom to talk to other clubs.
Many players from European clubs moved to Saudi Arabian football last season, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, and Seko Fofana. Interestingly, all these players once played for Manchester City, which has now opened a bid for its goalkeeper.
Liverpool’s shot-stopper, Allison Becker, was also linked with Al-Nassr. The club is allegedly offered the goalkeeper a two-year contract valued at 60 million euros, this is according to Journalist, Cesar Luis Merlo.
“With two years left to run on the player’s contract, the Citizens will consider parting ways if they receive an offer over £30m,” reports the publication.
The departure of Ederson might see Stefan Ortega stepping in for the club’s first goalkeeper choice. He has been the trusted second-best goalie for the club.
