(The Post News)- Mamelodi Sundowns loses another technical member after the departure of their head coach Rhulani Mokoena.
The Chloorkop-based club is experiencing unexpected exits ahead of the 2024/25 DStv Premiership Soccer League season.
According to iDiski Times, Sundowns received an immediate resignation letter from their fitness trainer, Sibusiso Mahlangu. The team is currently preparing for pre-season matches, including a tour in Saudi Arabia against Al Hilal and potential games against German side RB Leipzig and Austrian club RB Salzburg.
iDiskiTimes reported that Mahlangu started the pre-season tour preparation with the club when they returned to the club base.
His last day was on Wednesday before the players were told of his departure.
Mahlangu served the club as a physical trainer for two years.
Currently, he is the last member to exit the club and his reasons remain unknown.
Besides him and Mokoena, Masandawana confirmed the exits of Gaston Sirino, Bongani Zungu, Thabiso Kutumela, Brian Onyango and Junior Mendieta.
Themba Zwane and Abubeker Nassir were rumoured to be leaving but the club’s source confirmed their stay with Goal publication.
As it stands Sundowns is headed by the assistant coach, Manqoba Mngqithi. He is running the pre-season training and the Spain trip.
