(The Post News)- The 2024 EURO Champions Cup is nearing its end, with England and Spain set to battle for victory this Sunday in Berlin.
In the semi-finals, Spain defeated France, and England triumphed over the Netherlands.
England faced the Netherlands last night, securing a late victory with a goal in stoppage time at 90+ minutes.
It was an incredible night of football in Dortmund, highlighted by an early goal from Xavi Simons for the Netherlands.
However the goal did not stand long when Harry Kane put level with a penalty of 1-1.
Before the game, a bus named English Dutch led a parade in favour of the Netherlands.
Unfortunately, England’s late goal by Olie Watkins led out the Netherlands.
Netherlands captain in a post-match interview, Virgil van Dijk, blamed the officials for their loss.
He believes that the penalty given to England was not on the spot.
The match’s opening goal was seven minutes, Kane’s goal was disallowed in the 15th minuteWoodworkwork was beaten twice, and six yellow cards were registered.
England is expected to take Spain at the finals in Berlin, on Sunday.
This is the second time England has gone to the EURO finals.
Spain has a record of three and recently finished as a runner-up in 2020 at the Italy final.
