The Orlando Pirates Family confirmed the untimely passing of their Technical Director, Stanley Tshabalala popularly known as Screamer.
He died in the hospital succumbing to injuries, he suffered from being shot in March this year.
The deceased served South African football with love and passion and has a record of holding a senior position at the national club “Bafana Bafana”.
The club statement read, “The Tshabalala and Orlando Pirates family is announcing the sad and untimely passing of Stanley Tshabalala this afternoon in hospital.”
Bra Stan is renowned for his time playing alongside football legends such as Jomo Sono, Ace Ntsweleng, the skilled Mlungisi “Professor” Ngubane, Bashin “Ayashisa Mateki” Mahlangu, and numerous other football icons during the days when Bafana Bafana showcased South African football filled with skill and sensational talent.
Three months ago, SowetanLive reported Tshabalala’s shooting during a house robbery at his residence around midday.
The family had requested privacy during that challenging time. Sadly, Bra Stan couldn’t make it through the year.
