Lerato hit maker, Malome Vector dies in a car crash at the age of 32.
(The Post News)- Lesotho artist Bokang Moleli, popularly known by his stage name Malome Vector, has sadly died. The 32-year-old hip-hop artist suffered fatal injuries in a critical car crash on the N8 in Bloemfontein, Free State, on Wednesday afternoon, July 24.
According to reports, the singer behind the hit song Lerato was travelling with two team members, Lizwi Wokuqala and Puleng Phoofolo, when the collision happened.
The car had a total of five passengers at the time of the incident. Mondli Mvambi, spokesperson for the Free State Health Department, verified that the crash resulted in three deaths and two survivors with injuries.
The Free State Health Department has verified that emergency services rushed to a deadly crash on the N8 close to the Koppies turn-off. When they arrived, paramedics found a small car that had crashed into a large truck.
“There were five occupants in the small car. Two were severely hurt but are now in stable condition in the hospital (one male and one female). Three men were declared dead at the scene.
Initial reports suggest that the car was heading from Gauteng to Bloemfontein,” he stated.
Mvambi also pointed out that the crash involved famous figures in the figures in the music industry.

Notoane Makoko from Lesotho, a longtime close friend of Malome Vector, revealed that he was informed about the incident by relatives.
“His sibling verified that Malome Vector, Lizwi, and Damos died at the scene, while Puleng Phoofolo and the driver are receiving medical treatment in the hospital. I just received this update from his brother, Mochoni Moleli. Tomorrow, I plan to pay my respects at his residence in Mangopeng, Roma,” he stated.
Lotlisang Setsomi, another close friend, opted not to share his thoughts, choosing instead to let the authorities handle the situation.
Malone Vector was a new-school Sesotho rap artist from Roma, Lesotho.
He grew up listening to the rhythms of traditional Sesotho music and was later introduced to motswako rap.
He started his music career in the early 2010s and secured a record deal with Ambitiouz Records in 2020.
He was also best known for his hit song, Dumelang, which featured Blaq Diamond.
