(The Post News)- The African National Congress (ANC) has announced the outcomes of its National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) hearings against Mandla Msibi and former President Jacob Zuma. The ANC emphasizes its commitment to organizational discipline and the principles enshrined in its constitution.
In the case of Mandla Msibi, the NDC upheld the Provincial Disciplinary Committee’s finding, dismissing his appeal and confirming his suspension. The committee considered the severity of his actions, which displayed disregard for the organization and its leadership.
Regarding former President Jacob Zuma, the NDC found him guilty of contravening the ANC Constitution by collaborating with the uMkhonto We Sizwe Party, a political party not in alliance with the ANC. He was expelled from the ANC, with the right to appeal within 21 days.
The ANC views Zuma’s actions as a severe breach of organizational discipline, campaigning against the ANC while claiming membership. His conduct undermines the integrity of the organization and the democratic institutions established by the ANC.
The ANC emphasizes its commitment to upholding its constitution and values, ensuring that members adhere to its principles and code of conduct. The organization prioritizes its mission to build a national democratic society and will take necessary measures to maintain its effectiveness and coherence.
The ANC’s Acting National Spokesperson, Zuko Godlimpi, issued the statement, reaffirming the organization’s dedication to its constitution and the principles of organizational discipline.
