Executive Mayor Tseki Tseki and partners distribute alternative energy equipment to SMMEs
(The Post News)- The high unemployment rate among young people in Dihlabeng has prompted the executive mayor, Tseki Tseki, to take action. In collaboration with the Industrial Development Corporation and Strategic Implementation Partner, Masana, Tseki distributed alternative energy equipment to over 30 informal Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs).
This initiative aims to transform the way these enterprises operate, paving the way for a revived and beneficial local economy. Tseki emphasized the importance of supporting SMMEs, as they play a vital role in the local economy and are the lifeblood of the community.
One of the beneficiaries, Samkelo Malinga, received a gas stove and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to take his business to the next level. Another young entrepreneur, Amohelang Moshoaliba, although not a beneficiary this time, remains hopeful for future support.
The municipality promises to continue helping the youth with equipment to create more jobs in the communities. This effort encourages young people to create jobs rather than begging, fostering a sense of entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency.
By investing in the future of the youth and Dihlabeng as a whole, Tseki’s initiative sets a precedent for innovative solutions to unemployment. As the municipality continues to support SMMEs, the local economy is poised for growth and transformation.
The distribution of equipment marks a significant step towards empowering the youth and stimulating the local economy. With continued support, Dihlabeng’s young entrepreneurs are well on their way to creating a brighter future.
This initiative serves as a model for other municipalities to follow, demonstrating the power of collaboration and investment in youth empowerment.
By providing the means for SMMEs to operate more efficiently and sustainably, Tseki’s efforts will have a lasting impact on the community.
As the youth of Dihlabeng continue to thrive, their success will be a testament to the effectiveness of this initiative.
