(The Post News)- Kaizer Chiefs will once again make Durban their home away from home during the upcoming 2024–25 league season.
Amakhosi are set to play multiple games in the seaside city, according to the Premiership Soccer League schedule that was recently released.
The Kaizer Chiefs are returning to Durban and now have three home stadiums to use. Moses Mabhida, Peter Mokaba, and FNB served as their main homes.
The Chiefs, who have a close relationship with the eThekwini municipality, will welcome Chippa United to the Durban World Cup Stadium on December 29.
Interestingly, they also played Chippa at the same stadium last season, ending in a goalless tie.
On January 12, 2025, Kaizer Chiefs vs. Golden Arrows is another matchup in Durban.
Since the Moses Mabhida Stadium reopened for domestic football following the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the Chiefs have defeated the Arrows every time they have played there.
On January 19, Sekhukhune United and the Chiefs will also play in Durban.
The Chiefs will play a few home games at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo in addition to these games.
Under the direction of new coach Nasreddine Nabi, the Chiefs will begin the 2024–25 season with an away match against the Marumo Gallants on September 14.
On September 22, they will play their first home game at FNB Stadium against Stellenbosch FC.
Recall that the Chiefs’ 10th-place finish kept them out of the MTN8 this season, which was a sad outcome for the team.
