Despite being excluded from the funeral arrangements and memorial ceremony, Joseph’s video message has brought comfort to fans and friends, showcasing the deep love and connection he shared with Chiume.

Joseph, who married Chiume in Louisiana in 2021, reminisces about their extraordinary relationship, which began in the early 1980s.
He fondly recalls how Chiume would ensure he never missed his flights to and from Africa, highlighting her caring nature.

With a heavy heart, Joseph acknowledges the immense loss he feels, saying, “I didn’t just lose a wife; I lost a friend and an angel.”

As he navigates the pain of his loss, Joseph finds solace in the knowledge that Chiume loved him unconditionally and lived life with purpose.

Joseph Jr says he was excluded from participating in the planning of Chiume’s memorial services and funeral.

He further stated that Chiume’s daughter only informed him about the planned services on Monday without involving him in the planning process.

Connie Chiume and her husband, Joseph had a good relationship until her passing, and they even had a FaceTime call just two days before her death, according to Joseph’s niece, Keela Dominick.

In the face of family tensions and disagreements, Joseph’s heartfelt message stands out in honouring Chiume’s legacy and the impact she had on those around her.
