Donald Trump posts image of fake Taylor Swift suggesting presidential endorsement.

(The Post News)- Former President Donald Trump found himself embroiled in controversy after sharing doctored images and satirical content that falsely suggested pop star Taylor Swift was endorsing his presidential campaign.
Â
This misleading tactic, which involved AI-generated images and fabricated posts, has generated considerable backlash and ridicule, adding to the scrutiny of Trump’s campaign ahead of the elections.
Â
Two of the images shared by Trump have been identified.Â
Â
One was a satirical post from a conservative influencer, clearly labelled as’satire’, posted a day earlier.
The other was a genuine photo of Jenna Piwowarczyk, a college student who showed her support by wearing a homemade ‘Swifties for Trump’ shirt to one of his rallies in Wisconsin on June 18.
Â
The photo, shared on Trump’s Truth Social platform, shows Swift dressed in patriotic colours with a caption urging people to vote for him. However, Swift’s team hasn’t commented, and it’s widely assumed that this is a case of Trump trying to trick his followers.
Â
But that’s not all; Trump also shared satirical articles and AI-generated images of “Swifties for Trump” to make it seem like the singer’s fans are jumping ship. This move is widely ridiculed online, with many calling it a “Sunday meltdown.”
Â
Democratic Representative Eric Swalwell cautioned Trump that targeting Taylor Swift’s fans, known as “Swifties,” could backfire.
Â
It appears he was correct, as the fake endorsement has incited significant outrage and ridicule. Headlines such as “Trump Shares Fake AI Taylor Swift ‘Endorsement'” and “Trump’s Bizarre AI Stunt to Win Taylor Swift’s Endorsement Backfires” reflect widespread criticism.
Â
Despite the attempt to leverage Swift’s massive fan base, the move has only intensified criticism and mockery, highlighting Trump’s controversial approach to garnering support.
Â
Even some of Swift’s liberal fans are upset, like the ‘Swifties for Kamala’ group, which supports Kamala Harris. They’re saying they don’t need fake AI images to show their support for Harris, unlike Trump’s attempt to fake Swift’s endorsement.
