In 2016, while still mayor, she is reported to have received a “commercial loan” of R575,600 from Gundo Wealth Solutions, a firm implicated in brokering illicit investments.
The gravity of the situation is compounded by Minister Simelane’s current role, which includes oversight of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).
