(The Post News)- The deputy chairperson of the Limpopo Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) for the Sekhukhune Region, Sakie Mohuba, has unexpectedly announced his resignation, claiming a hostile work atmosphere inside the party.
Mohuba has always been a strong force and a source of hope for the people living in Ward 33 and the larger Sekhukhune District Municipality, despite the fact that he was an official opposition figure to the African National Congress (ANC) in Ward 33 of the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality.
After leading a strike in 2019 to demand the construction of Tar Road D4180, he became the popular choice. presiding over the Road D4180 Task Team and being the first person to draw attention to the ward’s service delivery from the newsroom (“SABC”).
Mohuba’s devotion to the community was clear over his whole term. He was the embodiment of many people’s dreams of personal growth and transformation. His unwavering commitment to advocating for his constituents’ rights and needs made him a rock of strength for those who felt marginalized.
Nevertheless, Mohuba’ resignation letter made remarks that he protects his mental health, his first priority as a result of the recent difficulties within the EFF. He underlined the significance of protecting one’s sanity and mind.
Stressing that being in a poisonous atmosphere can be harmful to one’s efficacy and well-being. Mohuba’s resignation signifies a wider worry among political circles regarding the effects of internal discord and conflict on leadership and volunteerism.
The residents of Ward 33 are forced to consider their future without their unwavering defender as the dust settles on this momentous event. Even if Mohuba’s time as a leader is over, he is willing to remain the ground force of the organisation.
