(The Post News)- The South African national club squad “Bafana Bafana” got loggerheads with South Sudan later today in South Sudan. Bafana Bafana saw a winning goal at 94th minutes of the game after five minutes additional time.
South Sudan saw an opening goal early in the game 15′ scored by Tito Okello, with Siyabonga Ngezana committing a penalty from a foul. Not too long Oswin Appollis equalised 17′ and scored another goal 42’+5 before half-time earning a brace.
After the break South Sudan also found the back of the net making it 2-2 at 57′ Valentino Yuel. In the 72nd minutes of the game, Relebohile Mofokeng, Thalente Mbatha, and Mokwana were introduced.
Minutes after 90′, at 90′ +4 Bafana Bafana saw a left sweet strike from Thalente Mbatha grappling the net. Just how he did the last game when they drawn level with Uganda 2-2.
Today putting South Africa three goals ahead of South Sudan which it scored two. Mbatha was the talk of social media after Mofokeng subbing Themba Zwane, he registered his name in the hearts of Bafana Bafana fans and South African Football.
South African Network Citizens are joyful of Thalenthe’s actions to save Bafana Bafana. The squad is now the second after Uganda in Group K of the AFCON Qualifiers.
Bafana Bafana Coach, Hugo Broos also appreciated Mbatha and stated that he was looking for such a player for a long time.
