(The Post News)- Tito has been handed the famous jersey no 10 at the Buccaneers for the 2024/25 Caf Champions League campaign.
Orlando Pirates legend Jomo Sono made controversial remarks about the club’s star Patrick Maswanganyi regarding the retired jersey number 10 at Bucs.
Jomo has insisted Maswanganyi comes nowhere near him in terms of playing football.
Maswanganyi has become a fan-favourite at Pirates and at some point, fans demanded that Jomo must hand over the no 10 to the Tembisa-born star.
Social media users responded to Jomo with a plethora of comments. “Jomo is trying to erode our regard for him since we never thought of him as Tito’s twin. We claimed he was deserving of the Jersey 10 because he was likened to Mshishi. Cde Nathi said, “Don’t be too big for your shoes, sir.”
Lerato Morole brought attention to the fact that Jomo Sono, like Doctor Khumalo is self-centered! What else besides calling off his wedding did he do for the Orlando Pirates? Allow Patrick Maswanganyi to pursue his interests.
Besides criticizing Tito, Jomo Sono sees Relebohile Mofokeng “Cocomelon” as an upcoming star and that he has to be protected. “He is a highly talented kid and he needs to be protected. I think Pirates coach is doing a good job, because he pulled him off when he starts struggling from opponents,” stated Jomo on Lorenz Kohler’s interview.
