(The Post News)- The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) held a poignant memorial service at their hall to celebrate the life of Constable R. Mnisi from Region 3, whose life was tragically cut short on Saturday, September 7, 2024, while on duty.
Family, colleagues, friends, and the media gathered to pay tribute to the “hero” who touched many lives. Constable Mnisi was hailed as a true warrior, known for his unwavering dedication, professionalism, and commitment to his duty. His selflessness and humility inspired those around him.
Constable Innocent Mnisi, a close friend of the deceased, shared heartfelt words, saying, “The police forum has lost a giant among us.” He fondly remembered Constable Mnisi as someone who never raised his hands in anger or showed frustration, but instead embodied humility. “His legacy should be celebrated, not just by his family, but by all of us who were fortunate enough to know him.”
Umashi Dhlamini, Deputy Chief of the TMPD, praised Constable Mnisi’s service, saying, “Mnisi was an exemplary officer who dedicated his life to serving and protecting our community. His bravery and compassion inspired us all, and his passing leaves a void in our hearts. We will miss him dearly, but his legacy will continue to inspire us to serve with honor and integrity.”
MMC for Community Safety Alderman Crandi offered words of comfort, saying, “God is with the family during this difficult time, and He will never forsake them. They should find strength in their faith and the support of their community.”
Constable Mnisi was a dedicated and loyal member of the Tshwane Metro Police Department, serving with distinction and honor. He was a proud servant of the community, always putting the needs of others before his own. His colleagues remembered him as a kind, compassionate, and brave individual who inspired others with his selflessness and dedication.
