(The Post News)- The Sports, Arts and Culture Minister, Gayton McKenzie have sent warning to South African Football Association President Dr. Jonny Jordan. Stating that he told the office of the president to qualify for AFCON and the World Cup, failure to do so they will exit office.
The minister stressed that he doesn’t have full confidence in Soccer, Hockey and other sports. But he has full confidence in Rugby, because they come with results not talk.
“The results is not there with soccer, the results is not there with Hockey, I’m not a man that gets overpowered and gets impressed with words, I like action,” stated the minister on Lorenz Kohler’s one on one interview.
South Africa so far have won only a single match in the COSAFA (Council of Southern Africa Football Association) with two draws and one win and a draw in World Cup Cup. Also having a draw in the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Today it is facing South Sudan away after a 2-2 draw with Uganda.
Danny also wished Bafana Bafana well playing clash with South Sudan. According to SABC Sport the president is hoping for better results.
