(The Post News)- The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in Greater Tshwane has thrown its weight behind the motion of no confidence against Executive Mayor Cilliers Brink, citing mismanagement, incompetence, and disregard for citizens’ needs.
The ANCYL accuses Brink’s administration of financial irregularities, poor service delivery, and enabling criminal cartels. The league criticizes the Democratic Alliance (DA) for failing to address Tshwane’s socio-economic issues, leaving young people without hope.
The Auditor-General’s report revealed financial mismanagement and unauthorized expenditures under Brink’s watch. The ANCYL demands accountability and responsible governance.
The league welcomes ActionSA’s withdrawal from the DA-led coalition and support for the no-confidence motion. It sees this as a turning point for the city.
The ANCYL envisions a new dawn for Tshwane, prioritizing youth representation, job creation, service delivery, and accountability. It urges the new administration to address rent disputes, support young entrepreneurs, and invest in education, sports, and rehabilitation centers.
