The residents of Eersterus held a meeting to give Tshwane Parliament a clear mandate to represent them in various community issues.
(The Post News)- The residents of Eersterus, in Hammanskraal, took a significant step forward as the community met with the LASCA Tshwane Parliament to address long-standing concerns.
The gathering was held at Eersterus Civic Hall, focusing on resolving issues related to service delivery, billing disputes, and land ownership.
Attendees included formal and informal residents, LASCA Tshwane Parliament representatives, and the South African Police Service (SAPS), demonstrating the community’s determination to find solutions.
According to Tshepo Mahlangu, CIC of LASCA Tshwane Parliament, “We listened to the residents’ concerns and will work towards finding sustainable solutions.”
During the ongoing meeting, LASCA Tshwane Parliament agreed to represent Eersterus residents in various community issues. The community also established an Executive Committee structure through a democratic process. Furthermore, plans are in place to escalate concerns of informal settlement dwellers to the newly appointed MMC of Settlements, while service the newly elected MMCs will be addressing service delivery and billing issues affecting the residents.
The Eersterus community’s is now working in collaboration with LASCA Tshwane Parliament, aiming to bring much-needed resolution to the area’s challenges.
