Bhejamin Dube bids farewell to Mzansi with a final performance, cementing his legacy in the gospel music industry.
(The Post News)- Renowned gospel singer, Bhejamin Dube, famous for his iconic songs “He Keeps on Doing Great Things” and “Bow Down and Worship Him,” has announced his departure from Mzansi. The 62-year-old musician revealed his focus on expanding his reach across Africa in an interview with Daily Sun.
“I’m not just focusing on Mzansi; I want to penetrate the African space as a whole,” Dube explained. His last performance in Mzansi is scheduled for November 30 at Chose World Ministries in Rispak, Joburg. “In this show, I will be wrapping up South Africa, and then I am moving into the continent,” he said.
Gospel legend Hlengiwe Mhlaba will join Dube on this project. He believes he has worked tirelessly to bring South Africans closer to God through his music and now seeks to spread his message across Africa. “I’ve worked hard enough to bring South Africans to God; now it’s time to investigate Africa and bring the continent into His Presence,” Dube stated.
For his final performance, Dube invites fans to request their favorite songs via the Dube Connection social media page. “Share your song wishes, and we’ll tailor our preparations to make your musical experience unforgettable!” He promises a small guest list, with one confirmed performance being “Kubobonke oThixo,” which has garnered 2.9 million views in just a month since its release.
“We underestimated the song’s potential, especially the impact of collaborating with Hlengiwe,” Dube admitted. “I had recorded ‘Kubobonke oThixo’ on previous albums, but this duet took it to a whole new level. The energy at Legendary was electric, making the song truly unforgettable.”
