(The Post News)- Limpopo Facebook rapist Mukovhe Makhavhu is expected to be sentenced at the Thohoyandou High Court sitting at the Waterval Magistrates Court in Limpopo this morning.
Makhavhu, who is affectionately known as “Elma Mutavhatsindi” on his Facebook page, which has attracted over 100 000 followers, was luring his victims to Mutshundudi River and Phiphidi outside Thohoyandou where he raped and robbed them for four years, ago.
He was raping them on the pretence of being a prophet. Among his victims is a thirteen-year-old girl and he was convicted on four counts of rape, sexual assault, and robbery earlier this year.
Meanwhile, a forty-one-year-old father of three will remain in custody after appearing in the Nkomazi magistrates court in Mpumalanga on charges of raping all three of them.
After being arrested for the rape of his six and ten-year-old daughters, the police investigations have revealed that he could also have been abusing his thirteen-year-old daughter.
The information that led to his arrest was leaked after a thirteen-year-old daughter disclosed the abuse to a friend at school, who later informed the teacher.
The man is expected to return to court on Thursday, 7 November 2024, for a bail application. The children have been taken to a place of safety.
