Nomzamo Mbatha and Bonang Matheba are expected to take the center stage at the 2024 Earthshot Prize Awards.
(The Post News)- The Earthshot Week, a prestigious gathering of global leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and young people, is set to be hosted in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 4-7, 2024. Two of South Africa’s most renowned personalities, Nomzamo Mbatha and Bonang Matheba, will take center stage at the event.
The Earthshot Week activities will be hosted by philanthropist and award-winning actress Nomzamo Mbatha and will focus on expediting environmental solutions. Australian wildlife photographer and conservationist Robert Irwin, another ambassador, will accompany Mbatha as an Earthshot Global Ambassador for high-level discussions and thought leadership events.
“I’m really looking forward to participating in Earthshot Week again, this time in the role of host and as an Earthshot Global Ambassador,” Mbatha enthusiastically stated.
Renowned television host Bonang Matheba is set to co-host the fourth annual Earthshot Prize Awards alongside Billy Porter, who has won Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Awards.
Matheba has extensive experience in hosting prestigious award ceremonies and is recognized as the best in South Africa, particularly for live productions. “It’s an honor to co-host The Earthshot Prize Awards,” Matheba expressed.
“I am excited to honor these incredible trailblazers who are making a significant contribution to our planet and to highlight the vibrant energy, tenacity, and unwavering commitment of environmental leaders from Africa and beyond,” Matheba said.
South African rapper and television host Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena is set to co-host a unique live green carpet pre-show alongside Nigeria’s leading presenter, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. The green carpet pre-show will be available for global live streaming on The Earthshot Prize’s YouTube channel.
The Earthshot Prize Awards will be aired in 50 different markets across the African continent with the assistance of Global Alliance Partner MultiChoice and will be streamed live worldwide through a special collaboration with YouTube. The Earthshot Prize recognizes and rewards groundbreaking environmental solutions. This year’s event promises to inspire action and hope for a sustainable future.
