Trump won key battleground states and successfully surpassed Kamala Harris, a Democrat candidate, after a fierce and close contest. Harris would have made history and became the first ever female to be elected as president.
NBC News reported that Trump and his team challenged the 2020 election results in swing states like Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, facing four federal felony charges related to his efforts to overturn the election.
The Associated Press described Trump’s win as an “extraordinary comeback” for a leader who had refused to accept defeat four years ago and faced numerous legal and political challenges since.
