Three people, including a friend of Liam Payne, have been charged in connection with the 31-year-old One Direction singer’s death, who fell from his hotel room balcony a month ago.

According to a statement released by the office of the Argentinian Public Prosecutor, the three people are facing charges of “abandonment of a person followed by death, as well as supply and facilitation of narcotics.” The prosecutor’s office stated that, among the three charged individuals, is a friend of Payne who attended to him daily during his stay in Buenos Aries.

The office of the prosecutor also mentioned that a total of nine raids were conducted, seizing cell phones, a hard drive, three laptops, and drugs, including weed.
Additionally, the office of the prosecutor asserted that it had conducted a thorough investigation of 800 hours of footage recorded from security cameras and acquired several dozen statements from hotel employees, family members, friends, and medical specialists.
