(The Post News)- Nigerian star Tems will be coming to Johannesburg, South Africa, in March 2025, as part of her highly anticipated “Born in the Wild” tour. This will be Tems’ second performance in South Africa, following her exclusive invite-only gathering in 2022.
The concert is set to occur on March 20, 2025, at The Dome in Nasrec. Attendees can look forward to an extraordinary evening of music, showcasing popular songs from Tems’ inaugural album, “Born In The Wild.” This album comprises 18 tracks, featuring hit singles such as “Me & U,” “Love Me JeJe,” and “Burning,” along with collaborations with J. Cole and Asake.
Tickets for the concert will be available to the general public starting at 9:00 on Friday, November 29. However, Discovery Bank cardholders will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive pre-sale from 09:00 on Wednesday, November 27, until 08:59 on Friday, November 29. This is a unique chance to experience Tems live in Johannesburg.
The path to the album was fraught with difficulties. In a heartfelt discussion with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, Tems openly expressed her battles with burnout throughout the creative journey.
She said,We have been engaged in this music for an extended period. There were moments when I questioned, ‘Will this ever conclude? Am I destined to remain in this studio indefinitely? Will I be elderly by the time this album is finally released?’”
Tems has made a significant impact on the music industry, consistently delivering chart-topping hits and earning a multitude of prestigious international awards. Her remarkable achievements encompass a Grammy Award, a Billboard Women in Music Award, four NAACP Image Awards, four BET Awards, and three Soul Train Music Awards.
