South African players Elias Mokwana, Mohau Nkota, and Khanyisa Mayo leads with goal scorers at the CAF Champions League.
(The Post News)- Khanyisa Mayo, Elias Mokwana, and Mohau Nkota all recorded their scores in the Confederation African Football Championship League (CAFCL) also known as CAF Champions League on Tuesday, November 27.
Mayo was playing for CR Belouizdad against the Orlando Pirates. He managed to provide his team a canceling goal at the 66-minute mark, bringing the score from 2-nil to 2-1, despite being substituted at the 34-minute mark.
Nkota’s brace, however, made him the game’s standout. The first one, was assist by Relebohile “Cocomelon” Mofokeng. His second goal of the day was a lightning strike that caught a net from outside the box.
Mokwana scored his first goal with Esperance Tunis as well, and his teammates added three more goals to give Djoliba AC a 4-0 defeat.
The top players from their respective home leagues did indeed meet. The tight constraints caused suffering in various soccer grounds of Africa, both in the north and the east.
A goal feast was held in Cairo in Group C, as Al Ahly defeated Stade D’Abidjan 4–2. CR Belouizdad was defeated 2-1 by the Orlando Pirates.
At 15:00, TP Mazembe and MC Alger drew nil-nil to begin the Championship match, while Al-Hilal Omduram defeated Young Africans 2-nil in Group A.
Maneima Union and Mamelodi Sundowns have a point each after a goalless draw in Group B. FAR Raja Casablanca lost to Rabat 2-0.
Then, out of all the groupings, Group D had the most goals. Pyramids defeated Sagrada Esperanca 5-1, and Es Tunis thrashed Djoliba AC 4-1 at 21h00.
