(The Post News)– On Thursday, former US President Barack Obama conveyed his appreciation and respect for the administration of US President Joe Biden. Obama commended Biden for his approach to rejuvenating the US economy following the Covid-19 pandemic. Obama stated that Biden generated 17 million jobs and reduced healthcare expenses, establishing it as the strongest recovery globally.
US President Joe Biden, who is set to depart from office next week, brokered a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas earlier today. After the ceasefire and hostage agreement between Israel and Hamas, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held talks with US President-elect Donald Trump and the sitting President Joe Biden.
In these discussions, Netanyahu conveyed his appreciation for their assistance in enabling the release of hostages. He reiterated Israel’s pledge to obtain the release of every hostage and commended President Trump for highlighting the importance of preventing Gaza from becoming a safe haven for terrorism. The two leaders decided to gather in Washington shortly to discuss these matters further.
Biden utilised his farewell address to express gratitude to the American public for their backing throughout his presidency while also issuing various serious warnings, particularly his worries about the impact of billionaires on U.S. politics, labelling it an “oligarchy taking form” in the nation.
