(The Post News)– On Monday, the 47th president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, took the oath of office. Upon his return to the White House, he pledged to usher the U.S. into a “golden age” era while diminishing the efforts of the outgoing Joe Biden administration.
“The golden age of America begins right now. From this day forward, our country will flourish,” said President Trump. He added that every country will be envious of the U.S. and will no longer tolerate being exploited. In efforts to begin the “golden age” of America, a day after his inauguration, President Trump has already signed a series of executive actions that have revoked 78 policies established by the Biden administration.
As indicated in his inaugural address, Trump has signed executive orders that would stop the immigration of “criminal immigrants.” As of Monday, the United States has been withdrawn from the Paris Climate Agreement and the World Health Organisation. President Trump has pardoned about 1500 people who were charged in the 6 January 2021 attack on the US Capitol. Furthermore, he contributed to reducing the sentences of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers leaders who are convicted of seditious conspiracy.
Laying the foundations of a “golden age,” Donald Trump signed an executive action that has delayed the enforcement of a 75-day TikTok ban. The law grants the president broad latitude in how to enforce the ban on the Chinese-owned video app. These are measures Trump swore at his inauguration would help build American “prosperity.”
