For Aarya, this achievement is more than just a title; it’s proof that her dedication and long hours on the court are paying off. “I felt an immense sense of joy and accomplishment when I received the news. It’s a huge moment for me,” she said.
Her journey to selection wasn’t easy. Competing against top players from across South Africa tested both her physical and mental strength. “Facing high-level opposition from different provinces really pushed me. Every match was a challenge, but it only made me better.”
Weather conditions also played a role in her experience, with rain disrupting matches during the interprovincial tournament. But Aarya adapted. “It threw me off at times, but I had to stay focused. Overcoming those obstacles made me stronger.”
Her selection is not just about personal success—it’s a stepping stone toward bigger aspirations. With her father as her coach, Aarya has been training relentlessly, fine-tuning her skills and mindset. “My dad’s guidance has been key to my development. Having that support system has made all the difference.”
Beyond the competition, playing with the U15 team has given her a new perspective on teamwork. “At first, I was a little intimidated, but I quickly realised how much I could learn from my teammates,” also adding that the bonds they created were critical to their success.
With her sights set on greater achievements, Aarya is determined to keep pushing forward. “This is just the beginning. I want to keep improving, set higher goals, and see how far I can go.”
