(The Post News)– In the Gqeberha High Court on Tuesday, chilling details emerged about the murder of 42-year-old Vicki Terblanche, whose body was found in a shallow grave in Greenbushes in 2021. Her boyfriend, Reinhardt Leach, is accused of orchestrating her death to access R5 million from her divorce settlement.
Cullis, who is serving time for his involvement, testified that Leach poisoned Terblanche with a mixture of Percocet and Berocca before smothering her with a pillow. According to Cullis, the group, which included state witness Mario de Ridder Jnr, consumed large amounts of drugs before the murder. Leach allegedly expressed his intent to kill Terblanche but was not taken seriously due to their drug use.
After Terblanche’s death, her body remained in the house for two days. Leach and De Ridder then changed her clothing, packed her belongings, and dumped her body in a shallow grave before going go-karting to create an alibi. Terblanche was reported missing by Leach, leading to his arrest in October 2021. Her estranged husband, Arnold Terblanche, was also arrested, but Cullis claimed he never met him. The trial continues.
