Neymar Jr formally announced to Santos Football Club in Brazil.
(The Post News)- After Santos’ 2-1 loss to Corinthians at the Paulista stadium, Neymar Jr. expressed his disappointment with the quality of the ball used in the Brazilian Championship. “They should improve the ball a little bit more, it’s very bad,” Neymar said.
Santos currently has nine points after nine matchdays, placing them third in Paulista Group B. The loss to Corinthians eliminated them from playoff qualifying spots. Neymar also criticized the quality of the ball used in the tournament, stating, “With all due respect to Penalty, the ball’s sponsor, I believe they should make some additional improvements to the ball; it’s awful.”
His teammates agreed with him, despite the fact that it might sound like an excuse. According to ‘Marca’, Corinthians players Andre Ramalho and Hugo Souza also expressed their dissatisfaction with the ball. “I apologize for the phrase, but the ball is awful. There are instances when the way it rolls or bounces is really odd,” Ramalho said.
For the second time since returning to Brazilian football, Neymar started the game. He played 68 minutes before being replaced by Yeferson Soteldo, with the score 2-0 in favor of Corinthians. Since his return, Neymar has played 187 minutes in three games, with his best offensive contribution being a shot against the post. He has also made several impressive technical gestures that have delighted the audience.
