(The Post News)- ASAP Rocky, the Grammy-nominated rapper, has been found not guilty of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. The verdict was met with cheers and celebration from fans on social media, who could not stop joking and creating memes about the outcome.
The case stemmed from a 2021 incident in which ASAP Rocky allegedly fired a gun at his former friend and fellow rapper, A$AP Relli, during a dispute on a Hollywood street. Prosecutors alleged that Rocky fired twice at Relli, grazing his knuckles with one of the shots. However, the defence argued that Rocky fired blanks from a prop gun that he picked up from a music video set.
After three weeks of testimony, the jury delivered a verdict of not guilty on both counts.
