South Africa will kick off their campaign with a home fixture against Lesotho at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on 21 March 2025, with kick-off set for 18:00. Four days later, they will face Benin in Côte d’Ivoire, as Benin’s home stadiums have been deemed unfit for international matches.
The squad will assemble in Johannesburg on 17 March before heading to Polokwane the same day. After their clash with Lesotho, Bafana will take a charter flight to Abidjan on 22 March to prepare for the away fixture. The team is set to return to South Africa on 26 March. Broos will trim the squad to 23 players in the coming days, naming the final selection for these crucial qualifiers.
SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan and CEO Lydia Monyepao have urged fans to purchase their tickets early and fill the stadium in support of the national team. Tickets are available at TicketPro, priced at R70 for adults and R40 for children under 12. The match will also be broadcast live on SABC. Corporate and business suite access (22-seater) can be arranged through tsholot@polokwane.gov.za, while SAFA, Southern Sun, and Limpopo Tourism will soon announce accommodation packages for the weekend.
