(The Post News)– Cricket South Africa (CSA) has unveiled the Proteas Men’s contracted squad for the 2025/26 season, with 18 players earning national contracts and two others signing hybrid agreements. The contracts will run from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026.
In a fresh move, David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen have taken on hybrid contracts, allowing them to feature in selected bilateral tours and ICC tournaments. Momentum Multiply Titans seamer Lizaad Williams and Dafabet Warriors allrounder Senuran Muthusamy make their debut on the contracted list. They’re joined by Kwena Maphaka of the DP World Lions, whose breakout season saw him debut across all formats.
Wiaan Mulder, David Bedingham, and Kyle Verreynne, all of whom earned upgrades during the current season, have also been retained. While talks around Heinrich Klaasen’s future continue, the contracted group is set for a demanding season, including away tours to Australia, England, India, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe, and a home series against the West Indies.
The team will also compete in two major ICC events: the WTC Final at Lord’s and the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. CSA’s Enoch Nkwe called the season “exciting” and emphasised building towards future global tournaments.
