(The Post News)– This April, 25 of South Africa’s top junior golfers will step onto some of the continent’s finest fairways, ready to showcase their skill at two major championships.
Representing SA are Dewan de Bruin, Roelof Craig, Johndre Ludick, and Marno Lange in the boys’ team, while Kesha Louw, Lisa Coetzer, and Casey Twidale fly the flag for the girls. Meanwhile, 16 juniors head to Zimbabwe’s Borrowdale Brooke Golf Estate for the Zimbabwe Junior Open. With past wins and top finishes, South Africa’s presence is growing stronger by the year.
GolfRSA’s Grant Hepburn says these events are a launchpad for talent and a key part of South Africa’s junior golf development. Thanks to government and lottery support, more young golfers are stepping onto the international stage, and the future looks bright.
