(The Post News)– The 2025 DStv Schools Netball Challenge (DSNC) is set to return with renewed vigour and a new sponsor in Bestmed Medical Scheme, promising another impactful season of high-school netball excellence across South Africa.
“Through this initiative, we are not just supporting a game; we are investing in the future of young South African women,” said Bestmed’s Executive: Marketing, Sales and Corporate Relations, Madelein O’Connell. “It’s about promoting holistic wellbeing and strengthening communities.”
DSNC has already proven a powerful launchpad. Six players from recent editions were instrumental in the Baby Proteas’ qualification for the 2025 Netball Youth World Cup. Schools like Hlabi Secondary and Khombindlela High have gone on to receive national recognition.
SuperSport CEO Rendani Ramovha said, “The DSNC is about more than just netball; it’s about creating opportunities and shaping future leaders both on and off the court.”
With expanded high-performance programs now on the cards for players and coaches, the 2025 season promises to be a defining one cementing the DSNC’s place as South Africa’s premier school netball tournament.
