(The Post News)– Police Minister Senzo Mchunu has assured the families of three Free State constables who went missing last week that the investigations are unfolding, particularly on the other vehicle that was found in the Hennops River in Centurion, Pretoria.
Mchunu was speaking at the funeral service of Constable Boipelo Senoge in Rocklands, Bloemfontein, this morning. Senoge is among two constables, Keamogetswe Buys and Linda Cebekhulu, who went missing on April 23, 2025, while they were traveling from Bloemfontein to Limpopo, Polokwane, for deployment.
Their bodies were retrieved from the Hennops River in Centurion after what is believed to have been a tragic car accident. Mchunu said that the constables died in an awful and terrible accident, and investigations have been completed; the comprehensive report, which includes results on the recovered vehicle, will be issued later.
The funerals of the other two constables will be held on the 9th and 10th of May; Linda Cebekhulu will be laid to rest on Friday, 9th of May, at Magengenene Cemetery, while Keamogetswe Buys will be laid to rest in Thaba Nchu on Saturday, 10th of May.
