Drama, rivalries, and bold new beginnings – the 2025 Formula 1 season is shaping up to be a thriller.
Last season, Max Verstappen held off a surging Lando Norris to clinch his fourth drivers’ championship, while McLaren broke a 26-year drought to win the constructors’ title. Now, with a refreshed grid and 24 races on the calendar, the world’s fastest motorsport returns for more high-speed action.
Only McLaren and Aston Martin have retained their driver line-ups from 2024. The biggest headline is seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton’s long-anticipated move to Ferrari, partnering Charles Leclerc in a bold new era for the Scuderia.
Six rookies join the grid full-time, including 19-year-old Oliver Bearman. After impressing last season when he stepped in for Carlos Sainz and Kevin Magnussen, Bearman has secured a multi-year deal with Haas.
The 2025 season promises fierce battles across iconic circuits, from Monaco to Singapore and Abu Dhabi. The next stop is the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Imola on Sunday, 18 May.
