Halle Bailey Granted Restraining Order Against DDG Amid Abuse Allegations

(The Post News)- Singer and actress Halle Bailey has been granted a restraining order against her baby’s father, rapper DDG, after alleging physical, verbal, emotional, and financial abuse throughout their relationship. According to court documents, Bailey claimed that DDG’s behavior posed a threat to her safety and that of their 17-month-old son, Halo.

The restraining order, issued by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge, restricts DDG from contacting Bailey or their son until a hearing on June 6. Bailey alleged that DDG had repeatedly abused her, including an incident where he slammed a car door on her while she was holding their baby. She also included photos of her injuries, including a bruised tooth and bruises on her arms, in her court filing.

Bailey expressed concerns for her safety and that of her son, stating, “Throughout our relationship, Darryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me. I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse.” She also asked that DDG be ordered to stop using social media to “bad mouth” her to his millions of fans, which has led to her receiving threats and hate.

Bailey contended that DDG trespassed into her residence in March, asserting that she had video evidence from her Ring camera capturing thGrantede alleged encounter. She additionally claimed that the event left her feeling “very unsafe and nervous that he would enter my home again when I was there.”

Bailey claimed DDG visited her home again a few days after the incident to see their son. In her testimony, she mentioned that both she and Halo were suffering from RSV and that she did not want DDG to take their son due to their health condition.

The judge granted the temporary restraining order (TRO) and scheduled a hearing for June 6 to determine whether to extend the order for up to five years. As part of the TRO, DDG was also instructed not to possess any weapons.

Bailey, known for her role in Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid and her music career as part of Chloe x Halle, has been nominated for five Grammy Awards.
