(The Post News)- KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, accompanied by Major General Phumelele Makoba, visited the crime scene in uMlazi’s U Section yesterday, where eight people were brutally murdered. The victims, aged between 19 and 40, were found with gunshot wounds to the chest and head.
Upon arrival, Premier Ntuli expressed his deep disappointment and frustration over the continued violence plaguing the province. “We are deeply disturbed by the relentless killings in our communities,” he said. “The police will investigate this matter thoroughly, and we will provide all necessary support to ensure justice is served.
Neighbors described the scene as horrific, noting the victims’ injuries. The community demands answers and action to prevent further bloodshed.
The police investigation is underway, with Major General Makoba assuring the public that every effort will be made to bring the perpetrators to justice. The Premier’s visit aimed to reassure the community of the government’s commitment to tackling crime.
